Vintage 1960s, Mid-Century Modern - Korex Style Electro Match Lighter. This functional piece is the perfect touch of mid-century to add to any room in the house or office. A unique find made from a cut crystal, it sits on an angle on the tabletop. In beautiful condition with no chips, cracks, or disfigurements. Substantial, the lighter weighs over 2lbs. before packing.

The wand carries the flame and is ignited by a spark when you withdraw it from the mechanism which is covered with a patterned aluminum lid. The crystal glass is faceted and sits at a slant. This lighter is in the style of the Korex Electro Match Table Lighter from the 1950s to 70s. We have tested it out with 3 AA batteries and it readily sparks but to get a flame it requires lighter fluid which I don''t have. Batteries are not included. This style of lighter is also known as an electro match, super match, or instamatch.

In great working condition and does spark consistently. May need new flint or felt end and fluid.
